If travelling to Ras Al Khaimah from elsewhere in the UAE, the destination is within a drivable distance from the six other emirates, with the journey from one end of the region to the other taking just four to five hours.
Ras Al Khaimah is conveniently located just a 45-minute drive from Dubai International Airport (DXB), one of the busiest airports in the world. It is also served by its own international airport with flights coming in from Central and Eastern Europe as well as India, making it an easily accessible destination.
Be sure to check visa requirements before booking; whilst many travellers can obtain them upon arrival, some may need to make arrangements in advance.

Once in the emirate, Ras Al Khaimah is well served by taxis, with the option of pre-booking rides through platforms like Careem.
There are three bus routes for a more budget-friendly way of travelling, which operate from 6am until 10pm. To plan any trips, download the Sayr app from the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), which shows bus schedules and routes within Ras Al Khaimah and between the city and other emirates.
Alternatively, renting a car is easy from well-known brands such as Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Avis, and Alamo, as well as local providers like Quick Drive and Autostrad Rent A Car.
Notably, RAKTDA is actively involved in facilitating accessible tourism and can provide up-to-date information for visitors with disabilities on getting around.
